About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team of mental health professionals. As a Mental Health Advisor, you will be responsible for carrying out 1:1 assessments, delivering projects, and providing mental health expertise to senior faculty staff as well as delivering personal development groups.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until May 2026 due to business demand.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification such as Registered Mental Health Nurse, Community Psychiatric Nurse, Social Advisor, or Occupational Therapist and have substantial experience of providing mental health advice and assessment to vulnerable adults.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Significant experience of providing mental health support services within a demanding environment such as HE/FE, NHS, Social Work, or voluntary sector to clients with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
  • Knowledge and competence in assessing psychological distress and risk with clients, including suicidal behaviour.

Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
