Job Title: Systems Engineering Lead
Location: UK-based roles available in Barrow-in-Furness, Filton and Portsmouth.
Salary: Circa £52,000 (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
- We're seeking an experienced systems engineering lead to join our Fluid Systems team, responsible for designing and developing Mechanical Platform Systems for Nuclear Submarines.
- You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop functional engineering solutions that meet complex requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop equipment and component specifications that meet demanding product needs.
- Work directly with customers to develop requirements and acceptance criteria based on operational scenarios.
- Take lead in performing and reviewing engineering calculations and analysis to make design decisions.
- Develop design evidence packages to justify safe and effective designs.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science subjects.
- Chartered Engineer within a recognised engineering institute.
- Background in Fluid Systems Design.
- Design documentation skills with ability to present to customers and wider groups.
- Solving complex engineering calculations.

As part of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering critical ship services and crew life support capabilities for next-generation Nuclear Submarines. You'll work on various submarine programmes, supporting the design and development of critical systems.
