Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Derbyshire County Council. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of primary age children with varied ability levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teaching staff in the supervision of pupils in the classroom, in groups and 1:1 when required.
  • Support the delivery of phase curriculums, particularly in Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
  • Work with children with physical and educational difficulties, demonstrating resilience and calm in stressful situations.
  • Hold an appropriate Level 3 qualification and have recent experience within the education sector.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Education or a related field.
  • Recent experience working with children with varied ability levels.
  • Strong working knowledge of phase curriculums, particularly in Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with colleagues and parents.
