About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Health and Safety Educator to join our team at HMP Five Wells. As a Health and Safety Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality level 1 Health and Safety courses to groups of up to 15 learners, helping them develop their vocational skills and secure future employment opportunities post-release.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver Health and Safety courses to learners, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of education programs
- Provide individualized support to learners, addressing their unique needs and goals

Requirements

- Full teaching qualification and experience teaching Health and Safety courses required
- At least 2 years' experience in the relevant vocational area
- Commitment to gain a subject-specific qualification to allow you to train to Level 3 within 2 years
- Commitment to gain an assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies within one year
- Hold at least a Level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE) or be willing to commit to gaining the qualification(s) within 1 year
