About the Opportunity

As a Simulation Software Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing simulation software that accurately simulates real-world environments and scenarios. The successful candidate will have strong proficiency in Model-Based Design methodologies, experience with real-time simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and proficient knowledge of Modelling tools e.g. MathWorks – Simulink, Matlab etc..

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include applying Model-Based Design principles to create models for system-level simulations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement complex algorithms within modelling tools for simulation purposes, and generating efficient and optimised C++/C code from models for deployment on embedded systems. The successful candidate will also collaborate with system engineers, electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate simulation software into overall embedded systems.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a software engineering or relevant computer science-related degree, strong proficiency in Model-Based Design methodologies, experience with real-time simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and proficient knowledge of Modelling tools e.g. MathWorks – Simulink, Matlab etc.. They will also require excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and knowledge of industry best practices in embedded systems development. Furthermore, they should be proficient in software development toolchains such as Azure DevOps and Visual Studio.
