New Opportunities in General Adult Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinician to join our team in General Adult Psychiatry, working with well-established teams delivering excellent care in hospital and community settings. This post is part of a redesigned service and offers an opportunity to work with experienced professionals. The post holder will be welcomed into a friendly and forward-thinking team of Consultants, Specialty Doctors, and Trainees.

As a Clinician in our General Adult Psychiatry service, you will work within recently redesigned multi-disciplinary teams, under the supervision of two in-patient Consultants, covering the north Highland area. You will assist, with support from multi-disciplinary teams, in the management of in-patients from North Highland. You will take a lead role, with Consultant supervision, in the patient journey through hospital and back into the community.

The post holder will be expected to have Section 22 status under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 or have sufficient clinical experience to complete this prior to commencement of the post. MRCPsych is desirable but not essential.

As part of our team, you will be encouraged to develop a special interest in keeping with the needs of the service. There are regular educational events organised as part of our in-house programme.
