We are seeking a highly skilled Dubbing Mixer to join our Post Production team at 696 DSC Corporate Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recording, tracklaying, sound-designing, mixing, and delivering high-quality audio content for our network channels and streaming platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Lead recording sessions with voice talent, producers, and other stakeholders, ensuring a comfortable and effective environment for all collaborators and clients.
- Tracklay, sound-design, mix, and deliver longform and shortform content in various languages, styles, and genres using ProTools and associated audio systems.
- Work independently or as part of a team, ensuring all workflow and operational procedures are followed.
- Apply standard best practices throughout the audio post-production process to guarantee exceptional quality output.
- Remain calm, creative, and productive under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
- Act as a liaison between creatives, producers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with all parties, keeping them informed of project status and any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with Bookings, Edit Assistants, Editors, and Department Management to deliver an exceptional service.
- Ensure punctual session start times and adhere to standard operating procedures and naming conventions.
- Report any technical issues to the Post Production Engineering team and provide feedback to the Technical Operations Manager.
- Maintain high-quality control standards for newly created materials.
- Exercise meticulous attention to detail and accurately complete metadata entry and documentation tasks.
- Proven expertise in mixing, sound design, tracklaying, and dialogue editing within a post-production facility or broadcaster.
- Previous experience leading client-attended mixing sessions.
- Experience mixing both longform and shortform content.
- Highly skilled in ProTools, its plugins, and associated audio hardware and software.
- Experience working with an S6 console.
- Previous experience recording VO and leading sessions with voice talent and production personnel.
- Experience with remote recording platforms such as SessionLinkPro.
- Experience mixing to EBU R128.
- Ability to think creatively and develop solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally.
- Knowledge of surround sound mixing techniques and workflows, including Dolby Atmos, is a plus.
