Financial Control Analyst Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Control Analyst to join our team in Manchester, with the opportunity to work from home for the remaining days of the week.

About the Role

As a Financial Control Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial, statutory, and management reporting outputs, while establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

You will also undertake reconciliations, accounting, MI, and control activities to support substantiation and statutory and external reporting, ensuring the integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in various committees and prepare month-end, quarterly, and annual accounting, including journal preparation, account reconciliation, and substantiation.
  • Support systems testing, such as user acceptance testing, and provide support to internal and external auditors throughout the reporting period.
  • Develop knowledge of core financial control delivery and reporting outputs, including balance sheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting, and external audit.

Requirements

  • Experience in or willingness to explore current and future finance technologies, such as Oracle, Tableau, or Python.
  • Working towards or already having an accounting qualification.
