Job Overview:

As a Functional Safety Engineer at Arm Limited, you will be part of a team developing cutting-edge image processing technology for the automotive market.

Your role will involve leading the Functional Safety development of ISP products, providing critical support to our Hardware and Software design engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Functional Safety work products throughout the Hardware and Software life cycles to ensure successful certification assessment.
  • Collaborate with design and verification teams to develop safety architecture, conduct safety analyses, and establish verification strategies.
  • Monitor safety activities and report progress to the product management team.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise Functional Safety assessments and confirmation reviews, driving open actions to successful closure.
  • Contribute to the definition and improvement of Functional Safety methodologies used within the organization.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Expertise in safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and other relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in safety requirements management, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Design FMEA (DFA), and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMEDA).
  • Experience in working on safety certification for embedded applications.
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
  • Programming skills in languages such as C or C++.
