Job Title: Traffic Signal Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Signal Design Engineer to join our team at HB People. As a key member of our Urban 64 division, you will play a crucial role in supporting the continued expansion and deployment of our traffic signal system.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design of traffic signal schemes from inception through to completion. This will require a deep understanding of the traffic signal industry, as well as strong communication skills for liaising with customers and collaborating with the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design traffic signal schemes from inception to completion
  • Collaborate with customers and the wider team to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of software tools essential for traffic signal design, including CAD, LinSig, MCH documentation, TR2500s, and MOVA
  • Review and audit traffic signal designs and associated documentation
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Requirements:
  • Proven background in traffic signal design with demonstrated involvement across various schemes
  • Comprehensive understanding of traffic signal legislation and guidance
  • Proficient in CAD and junction modelling (LinSig)
  • Skilled in writing and interpreting MCH and TR2500 documents
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite
