Job Title: Chef Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation in our kitchens.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contractual Compliance: Understand and deliver all contractual terms, ensuring seamless execution of our food service operations.
  • Client Communication: Communicate any on-site client changes to your line manager and maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Cost Management: Analyze and effectively manage all in-unit costs, ensuring optimal financial performance.
  • Team Development: Support, train, coach, and develop your team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and review relevant HSE procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Food Quality: Ensure all food prepared, cooked, and presented meets the required standards and portion specifications.
  • Operations Management: Manage the processing of food orders, receipt and storage of deliveries, and maintain the cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding working areas.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the correct use of all machinery and equipment.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other general tasks to support effective food service delivery as reasonably requested.
Requirements:
  • Contract Catering Experience: Previous experience in contract catering is essential.
  • Culinary Experience: Previous culinary experience is essential.
  • Management Experience: Previous management experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work positively with others as part of a team are essential.
  • Personality: Friendly, helpful, and polite, with a passion for working in a food service environment.
