Salary: £29,000 to £34,000 dependent on experience
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Project Officer and contribute to the success of the European Space Education Resources Office programme (ESERO-UK), funded by the UK Space Agency and European Space Agency. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues to engage teachers and young people through multiple activities, leveraging the exciting context of space to inspire and educate.
To be successful in this role, you will require a degree-level education and substantial relevant project and contract management experience gained within a relevant environment. You may have experience in delivering programmes directly to young people, either through education or industry. Your excellent communication, prioritising, and planning skills will enable you to work simultaneously on multiple projects at different stages, switching between them as needed.
As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for managing relationships with employers, partners, and stakeholders, demonstrating effective relationship management external to the organisation. You will contribute to cross-cutting activities, ensuring best practice contract and project management within STEM Learning.
You will be part of a wider team of Project Officers, Project Coordinators, Programme Leads, and Managers – the engine room of our operations. Our team is dedicated to supporting STEM teaching and learning through provision of resources, online and physical networking, and communities, as well as partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals.

STEM Learning Ltd is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning. We drive forward the development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes, alongside subject-specific support for all involved in teaching STEM subjects to young people. ESERO-UK aims to use the context of space to open doors for young people, delivering engaging, world-class teaching in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
