Procurement Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our client's growing team in Southampton. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing equipment and hardware from suppliers based on clients' requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Buying, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Distribution, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a busy, demanding workload. You will also have the ability to work under pressure and have experience using Excel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing equipment and hardware from suppliers based on clients' requirements
  • Providing quotes for new and existing clients
  • Speaking with customers on a global scale to source products for customers
  • Negotiating prices with suppliers
  • Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Keeping in regular communication with customers on the status of goods

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, including Buying, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Distribution, or Shipping
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage a busy, demanding workload
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience using Excel
