Permanent Opportunity for a Building Surveyor

Are you a skilled surveyor looking for a new challenge? We are currently seeking a Building Surveyor to join our team at BRC in Devon. As a key member of our property team, you will play a crucial role in carrying out stock condition surveys to improve the energy performance of our housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough stock condition surveys to identify areas for improvement
  • Arrange and undertake energy performance surveys and assessments to inform energy improvement works
  • Review the lifecycle of various building components, including windows, doors, kitchens, and bathrooms
  • Undertake risk assessments and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
  • Prepare work specifications and schedules, liaising with contractors and arranging for works to be carried out
  • Identify and manage asbestos in both void and tenanted properties
  • Certify interim and final accounts in accordance with approved Financial Regulations
Requirements:
  • A full UK driving licence
  • HND/HNC in surveying or previous experience in a similar role
