Manual QA Tester

CloudHire is seeking a highly skilled Manual QA Tester to join our team.

As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze system specifications and requirements to identify potential issues.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web applications.
  • Perform thorough regression, functional, and integration testing to ensure the application operates as expected.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies using issue tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand features and functionalities, ensuring thorough test coverage.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues not covered by test cases.
  • Provide clear and detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
  • Validate and verify resolved defects and perform regression testing to ensure issues have been effectively fixed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience as a Manual QA Tester or similar role, with a focus on web applications.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with testing web applications across multiple browsers and devices.
  • Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr Squad, or similar.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and provide constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.

Location: London
Duration: 3 to 6 month contract (Possibility of converting to a full time hire)
Salary Range: 35 K - 40 K GBP
Office Visit: 2-3 times a month
