Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team in Aberdeen, Scotland. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate project estimates to clients and potential clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project estimates and ensuring they meet the required level of detail and accuracy in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies.
  • Supporting senior members of the estimating team in the management and development of the estimating team, contract or project estimating norms, and the preparation and filing of project estimate documentation.
  • Acting as a focal point for several project scopes and identifying areas of best practice to drive continuous improvement within the Estimating team.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires an ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience).
  • A good level of experience in progressive industries and estimating positions.
  • Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques and systems with a detailed knowledge of how these are applied.
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management.
  • Prior experience in a Senior Estimating role.
