Job Overview

The Lead Delivery Manager is a key role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of digital product projects. This is a hands-on role that requires strong project management skills, experience in leading cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of digital product development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project delivery, experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

**Project Planning and Management**

  • Develop and maintain project plans, including budget, timing, resources, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
  • Review and guide project plans for project managers within the delivery team
  • Ensure that project plans are aligned with business objectives and are achievable

**Project Performance Management**

  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and recommending opportunities to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure that defined project processes are followed and that projects are delivered to the required quality standards
  • Liaise with clients and partner agency stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met

**Line Management**

  • Manage a small team of project managers, including staff appraisals, performance management, and hiring of new talent
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure their success

**Internal**

  • Contribute to the development of Candyspace's template documentation and tools
  • Promote the importance of delivery management within the organization through presentations and demos
  • Contribute to the refinement of in-house processes and project delivery best practices
Requirements

**Essential Skills and Experience**

  • Strong agency-side experience of design and build skills
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies
  • Ability to interrogate and solve problems, investigate drivers, and figure out why things happen
  • Calm under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple project streams in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Experience in delivering design and builds of between £250k-£1m with multiple integrations

**Desirable Skills and Experience**

  • Experience in delivering implementations of headless CMS's and commerce solutions
  • Experience in DXPs such as Episerver (Optimizely)
