Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Highway Services Manager to join our team at Yunex Limited. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in traffic signal management and/or knowledge of related industries such as highway, electrical, or civil engineering.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage multiple service contracts or projects across the region, ensuring timely delivery and meeting contractual requirements.
  2. Lead a medium-sized team of on-street operatives and supervisors, promoting health and safety, quality, and project objectives.
  3. Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of team work, aligning it with customer expectations and contractual requirements.
  4. Collaborate with contractors and supply chain partners to ensure efficient and cost-effective services, while maintaining the highest standards of safety.
  5. Develop and manage team performance, setting objectives, targets, and conducting ongoing reviews.
  6. Work closely with Commercial and Finance partners to manage scheme costs, mitigate financial risks, and ensure timely submissions.
  7. Produce and manage monthly financial forecasts, tracking project costs and progress.
  8. Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Tendering Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and Commercial partners.
  9. Promote business improvement initiatives, both locally and nationally, and represent the team at pre-contract and customer review meetings.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Project Management, ideally in highways, traffic signals, or section 278 works.
  • Knowledge of highways and traffic signal infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Understanding of Street works permitting and Traffic Management requirements.
  • Health and Safety awareness (IOSH/NEBOSH).
  • Management or supervisory experience in a technical position (electrical, highway, traffic management, civil/mechanical engineering, IT/comms infrastructure).
  • Contract/Commercial knowledge.
  • Good understanding of IT systems/software.
