We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil with SEMH and Autism, providing dedicated support to help them achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to the pupil, helping them engage in classroom activities and achieve their educational objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement personalized learning strategies and behaviour management plans.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes the pupil's social and emotional development.
- Assist with daily routines, including transitions between activities, to ensure a smooth and supportive learning experience.
- Monitor and report on the pupil's progress, working closely with the wider team to adjust strategies as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs and Autism is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a positive rapport with pupils and staff.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with children with additional needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to the changing needs of the pupil.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and a positive learning environment.
