Alecto Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specializing in the high-end residential and commercial sectors. Our client, a market leader in luxury home automation systems, is seeking an experienced Senior AV Engineer to join their elite team.


Job Description

This is a rare opportunity to work with leading technology partners such as Crestron, Lutron, and Control4 on bespoke home cinemas, integrated smart home systems, and complex IP networks. As a Senior AV Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering flawless installations and creating seamless AV experiences for ultra-high-net-worth clients.


Responsibilities and Duties
  • System Installation & Programming: Installing and configuring sophisticated AV systems and smart home technologies, including Crestron, Control4, and Lutron.
  • Networking: Setting up and troubleshooting complex IP networks that connect AV, lighting, security, and environmental systems.
  • Rack Building: Designing and building high-spec AV racks for optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Cabling & Termination: Ensuring faultless reliability through expert cable termination.
  • System Commissioning: Testing and commissioning AV and automation systems to ensure flawless operation.
  • Project Collaboration: Working alongside project managers, designers, and architects to align AV installations with the aesthetic and functional goals of each project.
  • On-Site Troubleshooting: Quickly resolving technical issues to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Mentoring junior engineers to elevate the team's overall skillset.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Hard Skills:
    • Advanced expertise with Crestron, Lutron, and Control4.
    • Strong networking skills, including experience with IP systems and network optimisation.
    • Proven ability to build AV racks and deliver high-quality installations.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Precision and attention to detail, particularly when working in high-end environments.
    • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex AV systems.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £36,000 - £48,000 (dependent on experience), paid overtime to reward extra efforts, company van and fuel card to facilitate travel, comprehensive benefits, including pension and uniform provision, five weeks of holiday (including Christmas allocation), and access to ongoing training and certification to further develop your expertise.
