Lawsons, the UK's largest independent fencing, timber and builders' merchants, is seeking a skilled Yard Operations Specialist to join our team.

We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive a fantastic experience in the yard and warehouse. As a Yard Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for accurate picking & packing, excellent product knowledge, and demonstrating best practice in regard to Health & Safety.

This role involves building strong relationships with our trade and retail customers, ensuring we consistently deliver to their expectations and needs. You will also be required to work under pressure to ensure customers are served efficiently and friendly manner.

A valid forklift license is essential for this role, and you must have previous experience working in a yard at a builders merchant. Additionally, you should have up-to-date forklift training, a positive attitude, and good product knowledge within the industry.

You will be expected to maintain high standards of customer service, professionalism, and adherence to company values. Good interpersonal skills, confidence, and ability to approach customers are essential for this role. You should also be a good problem solver, logically minded, and possess good math skills.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, be able to work to and maintain set company standards, and have good numeracy and ability to read picking tickets/delivery notes. Time management is also crucial for this role.

In return, we offer a competitive salary between £27,144 - £28,000 per annum, 25 days holiday + bank holidays + 1 celebration day, pension scheme, death in service scheme, employee assisted programme, and more.
