Are you a motivated and experienced healthcare professional looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an Education Development Specialist to join our team at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, developing and delivering education programs for our international recruits. As an Education Development Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating staff development, facilitating study days, and working with senior members of the team to enhance the capacity and capability of our recruits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing education programs to support the learning needs of international recruits.
  • Facilitating study days and workshops to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Working with departmental managers to ensure that overseas recruits are fit for purpose through ongoing liaison, regular reviews, and completion of competency frameworks.

You will have the opportunity to network locally, regionally, and nationally with peer groups to support the sharing of best practice regarding overseas development programs.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly organized and communicative individual with experience in teaching, supervising, and assessing learners. A recognized teaching qualification and significant post-qualification clinical experience at a band 5/6 level are essential. You should also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
