Locum Medicines Manager

Location: Hampshire, NHS Hospital

Hourly Rate: £19 - £24 per hour

About the Role:

This locum opportunity enables a skilled Medicines Management Technician to support the pharmacy team at a reputable NHS hospital in Hampshire. By joining our team, you will contribute to maintaining the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines across the hospital.

  • Develop and review medicine management policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct thorough medicines reconciliation on patient admissions and discharges to minimize medication errors.
  • Optimize medication stock levels, reducing waste and improving inventory management.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Experience working in a hospital or NHS setting is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and review medicine management policies and procedures to maintain high standards.

Conduct thorough medicines reconciliation on patient admissions and discharges to minimize medication errors.

Optimize medication stock levels, reducing waste and improving inventory management.

Requirements:

A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.

Relevant experience working in a hospital or NHS setting, with a strong understanding of medicines management principles.
