Industrial Scaffold Lead Job Description

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Industrial Scaffold Lead at Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park. You will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient erection and dismantling of scaffolds, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small team of scaffolders, allocating daily tasks and supervising all aspects of scaffold construction and dismantling.
  • Scaffold Planning and Execution: Plan scaffold requirements, inspect materials, and audit structures to ensure compliance with TG20 and BS EN 12811-1 safety standards.
  • Health and Safety Management: Enforce Thalia's health and safety regulations, develop safety plans, and maintain thorough records of all scaffold activities, inspections, and maintenance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the maintenance team and other project supervisors to align scaffold setups with overall maintenance schedules and objectives.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 2 NVQ in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Scaffolding), Rope Access and Confined Space Entry Qualification, Forklift/Telehandler license preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience managing scaffolding in Energy from Waste or similar industrial environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and planning skills with a focus on safety and team collaboration, extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
