Rail Sidings Operative

At Tarmac, we are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a Rail Sidings Operative. This dynamic role offers a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load trains on time and in full
- Conduct shunting operations and locomotive driving
- Perform rail, rail track, and plant inspections
- Operate mobile and fixed plant on site
- Participate in rail movements and activities
- Assist in addressing operational failures
- Manage time effectively
- Contribute to process improvements
Requirements
- Secondary education or equivalent
- NVQ/QCF level 2 in rail operations or equivalent (training provided)
- Background in rail operations preferred
- Computer literacy
- Mechanical knowledge
- Experience in a busy environment
