**Job Description:**
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be working within the Partners in Change Hub, a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality services for children and families.
The service provides assessments and interventions to families where the parent's difficulties impact their ability to parent. This role involves working with families to enhance outcomes for children subject to Child Protection Plans and pre-proceedings through interventions with adults considering competing needs between the children and adults.
Main ResponsibilitiesThis challenging role requires confidence in assessing and managing risk and communicating professional opinions verbally and in writing. The successful candidate will have experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment across various care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
Demonstrating specialist experience gained post-qualification, the ideal candidate will have received substantial clinical supervision (approximately 50 hours). Doctoral-level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and complex data analysis is essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Postgraduate doctoral training in applied psychology as approved by the HPC, including psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
- Experience in specialist psychological assessment and treatment, confident in assessing and managing risk, and able to communicate professional opinions verbally and in writing.
- Doctoral-level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and complex data analysis.
