About the Role:

Sussum Consulting LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Poole, Dorset. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to ensure the company's financial stability and growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and timely financial information, including monthly accounts, reforecasts, and group consolidation.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the management team and directors, including monthly reporting and key performance indicators.
  • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial services.
  • Collaborate with external accountants on year-end and audit, tax returns, and other financial matters.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial systems, including forecasting, budgeting, and management accounting.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or ACMA) with a strong academic record.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the business.
  • Experience of statutory reporting, inventory accounting, and group reporting.
  • Strong staff management skills, with the ability to lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and accounting systems.
