Project Engineer Planning Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project portfolios, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile demand, optimize capacity, and mitigate project risks.
  • Make informed decisions on in-house manufacturing versus subcontracting to meet project requirements and minimize costs.
  • Liaise with suppliers to support project delivery, including the creation of purchase orders as needed.
  • Own and manage project portfolios, ensuring all work is on track and progressing through operations as required.
  • Work closely with the Quality team to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with established processes.
  • Deliver projects within Key Performance Indicator targets, providing support to other teams as needed.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of commercial aspects of low-volume, small-batch manufacturing.
  • Experience in a similar role within a high-precision manufacturing environment, preferably with metallics and composites.
  • Continuous improvement techniques are a plus.

As a Project Engineer Planning, you will be responsible, calm, and motivated, with a proactive, organized, and flexible approach to changing priorities. A flexible and adaptable approach to working practices and associated hours is necessary.
