About the Role:

The successful candidate will support the teaching staff in delivering high-quality education and care to students with special educational needs (SEN) and Autism. This will involve assisting in the planning and preparation of lessons, adapting materials to suit the individual needs of the students, and providing one-to-one or small group support to students, helping them to engage with their learning and develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teaching staff in delivering high-quality education and care to students with SEN and Autism.

Requirements:
  • Higher Level Teaching Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience working with pupils with SEN and Autism.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour in an educational setting.
  • Previous experience working in a specialist education environment.
