Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Severn Trent. As a key member of our Waste Water Recycling team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wastewater treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and assets, including pressure, level, flow, and temperature monitoring systems.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Interpret and update technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Support the design and build of new processes and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Monitor treatment processes using SCADA systems and take corrective action as required.
  • Proactively review the health and availability of assets on site, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Perform on-site testing to validate process performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Order and manage consumables and spares, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing downtime.
  • Act as a champion for health and safety, actively challenging any practices or activities that could compromise employee or customer safety, or the quality of the final water product.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level Instrumentation & Electrical qualification.
  • Experience with PLCs, control equipment, or commissioning activities.
  • A full UK driving license is required for the role.
