About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position that involves working closely with senior staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and support the ward manager in their duties.
  • As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and contributing to the development of nursing practice within the ward.
  • You will also play a key role in implementing hospital policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A valid registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in a leadership or charge nurse role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to lead by example, demonstrate initiative, and make sound decisions under pressure
