Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them manage social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
- Develop and implement personalized pastoral support plans to address specific needs and promote student well-being.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and report concerns to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to create a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Support attendance initiatives and work with families to address barriers to regular attendance.
- Lead and facilitate small group sessions or workshops focused on topics such as social skills, self-esteem, and resilience.
- Act as a point of contact for parents/carers, providing guidance and support on pastoral issues.
- Liaise with external agencies, such as social services, healthcare providers, and mental health professionals, to coordinate holistic support for students.
- Promote a positive school ethos and culture of respect, inclusion, and kindness.
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational or social care setting.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEN and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and professionals.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations with empathy and resilience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills.
