The Global Head of Lean, GSK Production System is a key role within the company, responsible for driving business improvement through the GSK Production System (GPS) Lean Programme. This position works closely with the GPS & Smart manufacturing leadership team to influence and deliver tangible business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benchmark Programmes and Performance: Set operational performance ambitions across industries, evolve the GPS production system to deliver best-in-class performance, and maintain and improve training materials.
  • Global Deployment Plan: Develop and execute a global deployment plan to meet the needs of the GSC network, ensuring the right skills exist in the right roles.
  • Lean Capabilities and Standards: Define, build, and deploy required GPS Lean Capabilities and GPS standards across all sites and functions, ensuring appropriate capability exists in coaching and training.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, engage, and align a diverse team of GPS experts, creating a high-performing team that can resolve significant business problems.
  • Quality and Monitoring: Monitor the quality of the GPS deployment through standardised process confirmation, and develop a scorecard to measure and monitor the global programme.
  • Strategic Support: Support the GSC network in defining and prioritising GPS programmes and projects, maximising technology and digital levers, and collaborating with GPS site and functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Experience: 15+ years in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry, including experience in manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and continuous improvement.
  • Leadership: 10+ years of supervisory/management experience, demonstrated ability to work effectively across a matrix environment, and lead complex problem-solving efforts.
  • Qualifications: Lean Master certification or equivalent, and excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
