We are seeking a Senior Product Development Specialist to join our team in Peterborough, UK.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and launching new products for specified customers to drive sales growth. This will involve linking design activity to business strategy by delivering innovative products within the constraints of the brief.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and launch new products (including duplications) for specified customers to achieve sales growth.
- Link design activity to business strategy by delivering innovative products within the constraints of the brief.
- Use sound commercial and technical awareness of our ingredients, processes, and customer requirements to deliver 'right first time'.
- Provide technical support to operations/logistics/purchasing for cost release, quality maintenance, and improvement programs.
- Interact with customers to support relationship building and customer intimacy strategy.
- Interact with suppliers and the general marketplace to ensure up-to-date ingredients and technologies are employed in new developments.
Candidate Profile
- A Food technology/Food Science degree is required for this role.
- On-bench development experience in salad dressings, condiments, and sauces relevant to our portfolio (or in a similar food environment) is essential.
- RSQ experience is also necessary.
- Good communication skills are crucial for success in this position.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure are also key requirements.
- Ability to manage competing priorities is essential.
What We Offer
As an Equal Opportunities employer, McCormick & Company, Inc. is committed to a diverse workforce. The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
