HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 driver to join our team at Logistic People. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating Class 1 vehicles within our premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Manoeuvre vehicles into loading and unloading bays according to schedules, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Perform pre-operational checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, identifying and reporting any defects or issues.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and drivers to coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring seamless logistics operations.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly, maintaining accurate records of vehicle movements and cargo handling.
- Assist with general yard duties and maintenance tasks as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations.
Requirements:
- A valid HGV 1/C+E Licence is essential for this role.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role is required, with a proven track record of safe and efficient vehicle operation.
