As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers and support staff to provide high-quality learning experiences for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in mainstream schools across Lambeth Borough.
Job Responsibilities:- Support students with various learning difficulties, including ASD, SEMH, and other SEN needs.
- Engage and support students in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Supervise children's behavior and provide guidance on positive behavior approaches.
- Free SEND workshop and training
- Free CPD courses and professional development opportunities
- Team Teach Training and certification
- Competitive rates of pay and flexible working hours
- Experience of supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Ability to stay calm and de-escalate challenging behavior
- Valid DBS registration or willingness to apply for a new one
- Availability to work 3-5 days a week for at least 4 months
