Job Overview

Maternity Leave Cover 0.8WTE, 12 months fixed term

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Dietitian to cover maternity leave in our renal and diabetes services. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of dietitians, providing clinical leadership and operational management to ensure the delivery of high-quality dietetic services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renal and diabetes dietetics, with experience of leading and managing teams, and a proven track record of quality improvement and change management. They will be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care and contribute to the development of our dietetic services.

Main Duties of the Job

To provide clinical leadership and operational management to the renal and diabetes dietetic teams.

To lead and manage a team of dietitians, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality dietetic services.

To work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care and contribute to the development of our dietetic services.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • BSc, Diploma or Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics

Desirable Criteria

  • Clinical Specialist to Masters level or equivalent
  • Recognised qualification in Leadership/Management

Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience of senior dietitian role
  • Demonstrated experience of quality improvement and change management
  • Demonstrated experience of service budgetary management
  • Demonstrated experience of leading Clinical Governance for a team
  • Demonstrated experience of managing, supporting and developing others

Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Highly developed knowledge of delivering Dietetic services across a range of clinical specialities

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrated knowledge of audit and service improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of staff rostering systems
