About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Room Leader to join our nursery team at Bright Horizons West Hampstead Day Nursery and Preschool. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team to deliver high-quality care and education
  • Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children
  • Develop and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care to help all children develop and meet their individual milestones
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health, and safety, and safeguarding
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, or Early Years Educator
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
