Job Title: Senior SQL Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior SQL Developer to join our database team at Neilson Financial Services.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Business Intelligence to design and develop new solutions and enhancements within our custom leads and call center management applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Business Intelligence to understand their objectives and requirements.
  • Design and implement new tables and data structures.
  • Develop stored procedures, functions and other code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
  • Collaborate with other developers to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a SQL Analyst / Developer with a focus on BI and production-level code.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Knowledge of software development best practices and ability to write production-level performant SQL code.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Programming skills in languages such as C# or Python
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
