Job Overview

Morgan Ryder is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to take on a pivotal role as a Site Electrical Lead at our cutting-edge manufacturing plant in the UK.

As a global leader in innovation, quality, and sustainability, we produce specialist products for use in automotive, renewable energy, medical device, and infrastructure markets.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Collaborate with the Support Planner and Supervisor to plan and coordinate all electrical engineering work across the site.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Support SAP with HV switching requirements and schedules.
  • Select and manage contractors.
  • Produce engineering documentation, including permits to work, risk assessments, purchase orders, training documentation, and engineering drawings/manuals.
  • Conduct LOTO training for the maintenance team, including refreshers and auditing.
  • Purchase electrical equipment, including HV, LV, VSD, and PLC.
  • Replace obsolete parts.
  • Perform Route Cause Analysis, breakdown investigation, and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and training to electrical engineers.

**Requirements:**

  • Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, L3 qualification.
  • HNC/HND.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical equipment and power supply in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions.
  • Highly organized.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office tools.
  • HV Qualification AP15 advantageous – training can be provided.
