We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Appoint Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuro rehabilitation and excellent leadership skills.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our state-of-the-art neuro rehabilitation facility, providing specialist care to patients with complex neurological conditions. As a Lead Speech and Language Therapist, you will oversee the SLT team, ensuring high-quality patient care and staff supervision.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, conducting clinical audits, and contributing to research initiatives. A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration are essential requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the SLT team, ensuring compliance with professional standards
  • Provide patient care, including assessment and treatment of complex cases
  • Supervise junior staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy, HCPC registration, and intermediate dysphagia training
  • Senior-level experience in acquired brain injury and related swallowing/communication issues, community rehabilitation, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Advanced assessment and treatment skills, clinical reasoning, communication, and IT proficiency
