Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver

Quicktemp is partnering with leading freight, logistics, and transport firms in Kent and surrounding areas to offer adhoc or on-going contracted bookings for HGV Class 1 Drivers.

Job Details
  • Locations: Maidstone, Dartford, Sittingbourne, Ramsgate, Chatham, Gillingham, Rochester
  • Types of work: Trunking, Containers, Flatbeds, Pallett's, Multi-drop, Airport – Airside Freight, Events & Production

Pay Rates
  • Day: £17.00 PAYE £21.35 UMB
  • Nights: £18.00 PAYE £22.00 UMB
  • Weekends: £19.00 - £20.00 PAYE £24.00 - £25.00 UMB
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the UK
  • Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
  • Digital tachograph card
What to Expect
  • Safe driving of HGV trucks to transport goods to designated locations
  • Following safety procedures when loading and unloading cargo
  • Inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns before and after trips
  • Maintaining accurate driving logs and ensuring compliance with road regulations
  • Communicating with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries
  • Adhering to delivery schedules and following routes as planned
