About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Saw Machinist to join our team in Loughborough. As a Saw Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating woodworking machines to produce high-quality finishes with tight tolerances, while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Table Saws, Overhead Pin Routers, and Bandsaws to produce high-quality finishes.
  • Read and accurately interpret technical drawings to determine the required components and the safest method to complete the task.
  • Maintain high-quality standards by self-checking all work produced and adhering to all CTQ notes on the drawing.
  • Perform standard operator machine checks and maintenance tasks.
Requirements and Experience
  • Experience and technical proficiency with woodworking machinery.
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and rectify out-of-specification components.
  • Competence in mathematics and fluency in speaking and reading English.
  • The ability to continuously learn, stay updated with new procedures, and share skills and knowledge.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
