Job Title: Engineering Planner

Müller UK & Ireland is a leading dairy company with a strong presence in the UK market. We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Planner to join our team in Droitwich.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Engineering Planner to generate, coordinate, and monitor effective planning cycles for all planned engineering activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating daily and weekly maintenance plans, optimizing available engineering resources, and maintaining effective communication through our Planning and Maintenance System (PMS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and coordinate effective planning cycles for all planned engineering activities
  • Create daily and weekly maintenance plans across site
  • Optimize available engineering resources to maintain and improve operational effectiveness
  • Effectively liaise with Engineering stores lead to align job kitting and lead times
  • Maintain effective communication through PMS
  • Report leading and lagging planning KPIs
  • Responsible for 3rd party planning – service contracts
  • Key system user responsible for asset structure, new employee training, and document control of new installs (CMMS)
  • Review PM effectiveness in conjunction with Maintenance Excellence Manager
  • Support the site and departmental 5s programme
  • Develop maintenance improvement techniques
  • Support reliability centred maintenance/FMECA activities related to maintenance performance
  • Actively seek to deliver the most cost-effective maintenance planning solution
  • Part of the team delivering local site improvement projects to budget
  • Review planned maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness
Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in an engineering maintenance team carrying out maintenance in a FMCG environment
  • Team leader experience
  • Knowledge and experience in planning work for adherence to key legislative standards
  • Strong team working, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • High level of attention to detail
