About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depute Head Teacher to join our team at Aberdeen City Council. As a key member of our education leadership team, you will play a vital role in supporting the leadership and management of our schools, enabling the delivery of quality education through the appropriate involvement of pupils, staff, parents, multi-disciplinary agencies, and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the leadership and management of the school/service, enabling the delivery of quality education.
  • Work collaboratively with pupils, staff, parents, and the community to achieve educational goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's/service's Development Plan, National Priorities, and Local Improvement Objectives.
  • Hold a minimum of an appropriate teaching qualification, full GTC (Scotland) Registration in the appropriate subject/sector, and PVG scheme membership.
  • Demonstrate the Standard for Full Registration, Standard for Continued Professional Learning, and Standard for Middle Level Leadership.
