Design Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in the consumer goods sector. As a key member of our organization, you will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to drive the design, development, and manufacturing of both existing and new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed product specifications, including hardware designs, prototypes, and embedded software.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new suppliers for specific project needs.
  • Conduct product feasibility studies and provide calculations for capital projects, ensuring all designs meet project goals and budget constraints.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with various manufacturing techniques, with a deep understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in plastic injection moulding and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design.
  • Proficiency in hardware design, particularly in products featuring embedded electronics.
