Job Description

GAP Technical Ltd is seeking a High-Voltage Equipment Technician to join their team at their facilities near Buxton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and maintenance, with experience in working with high-voltage equipment.

About the Role

The High-Voltage Equipment Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on high-voltage equipment, identifying and resolving faults, and implementing safety measures to prevent accidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on high-voltage equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing components as needed.
  • Identify and resolve electrical faults, using tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Implement safety measures to prevent accidents, such as grounding and bonding.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory and circuit analysis.
  • Experience with high-voltage equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of £42,100 per annum, plus benefits including a pension scheme, life insurance, and paid vacation time.
