Key Responsibilities

The Head of Mathematics will oversee the entire Mathematics Department, ensuring that it operates efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include:

Leading and Managing the Department:

  • Oversee the performance and development of key stage leaders
  • Mentor and support senior teachers within the department

Curriculum Development:

  • Develop and implement a broad and balanced Mathematics curriculum
  • Cater to all abilities and align with school objectives

Subject Promotion:

  • Promote the subject across all key stages
  • Inspire student interest and engagement in Mathematics

Assessment and Intervention:

  • Analyse assessment data
  • Identify students who require intervention
  • Monitor the progress of those on intervention programmes
