Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Topographical Surveyor to join our team at Connectment. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and detailed topographical surveys, utilizing GPS and Total Station equipment, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys as required by work instructions
  • Undertake thorough and detailed topographical surveys, including utility mapping and GPR
  • Liaise with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Carry out quality control checks before drawings are issued to customers
  • Mentor and train less experienced surveyors
  • Oversee technical aspects of projects to ensure quality delivery
  • Record utility mapping survey markings
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Topographical Surveyor, ideally with supervisory experience
  • Advanced skills in the use of GPS and TPS
  • Ability to use CAD and SSC controller (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility mapping and GPR
  • Knowledge of Topographical Surveying equipment (beneficial but not essential)
  • Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
  • A full UK driving license
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience of carrying out training of other staff
  • Ability to work away from home occasionally
  • CSCS qualification (beneficial but not essential)
