Babcock International Group is a leading provider of critical, complex engineering services. We're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and we're looking for a skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician to join our team at RAF Valley.
The Role
As a Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician, you'll play a critical role in the efficient and effective repair and maintenance of Military vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical components, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to policy and procedure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring all tool control procedures are adhered to and the overall safety of equipment and area under their control.
- Checking all equipment required for tasking is available and reporting all deficiencies in a timely manner to the correct person/section.
- Ensuring all possible measures are taken to prevent foreign object debris (FOD) within aircraft and associated equipment.
This is a full-time role based onsite at RAF Valley, and the successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS Clearance.
Essential Experience
We're looking for a candidate with previous experience and qualifications to repair vehicles to DVSA Standards for Operators License Control and/or MOD equivalent level set out within MOD Publications. Previous experience working on Fuel Tankers, Maintenance, and repair is also essential.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a Full Driving licence (HGV desirable) and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
